Who is John Deighton? I’m happily married with a terrific wife and six beautiful children, we live not far from London. I feel incredibly blessed, for the last 5 years I’ve worked from home and have the perfect work - home - life balance.
I left school many years ago without even graduating, it wasnt an endearing experience for me. I’m entrepreneurial by nature, not academic, thankfully a good work ethic engrained from an early age by loving parents has helped me enormously.
When I was 19 I decided to give two years of my life serving as a full time Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This period was and forever will be a life changing experience, helping others. I’ve always believed the giver receives back far more and that is a principle for which anyone can and should live their life.
My dreams are pretty much realised, a faith in God, my wonderful spouse Andria who is my significant other, and makes me what I am. Our five daughters and son who give us such joy and happiness and finally 20+ years in highly successful entrepreneurial ventures which have given us financial security and the freedom we enjoy today.
“the Money Trap”…
Most people are hostages in the trading time-for-money trap. To receive more money, they must work harder and longer hours, I know I was there! Most are stuck in salaried positions or jobs, restricting overtime, so one job doesn’t even offer them the opportunity to trade more time for more money. As a result, they put their spouse or partner to work, which often is then still not enough.
As soon as we started having children, my wife quit her high flying job as a Flight Attendant, even though she enjoyed travelling the world. We were determined that our kids would have a mother at home, rather than being bounced from child care or day nursery. Six kids later and Andria has never needed to work. She’s been there for those school assemblies and concerts and continues to do so. Likewise I’ve enjoyed the same opportunities to see our children grow up before our eyes working from home.
In every group of people, a very few will retire young, rich and worry-free. A few more will work long and hard lives and finally retire in some comfort. However the vast majority will slog through 45 years of life in the rat race, only to see out their golden years on a pension which is a fraction of what they really need to live life.
“you need Leverage”…
One of the concepts that all wealthy people understand is the power of leverage. One of America’s first Billionaires J. Paul Getty once described leverage like this…
I’d rather have 1% of 100 people’s efforts than 100% of my own.
I remember clearly the day I truly recognised the beauty and simplicity of having leverage in my life. In Network Marketing, unlike the corporate rate race, you never get ahead by holding others back. The road to success in Network Marketing is travelled by empowering others. You cannot be successful without helping others to be successful. In fact the more people you help the more successful you become, with my philosophy in life, that premise fulfilled my goals achieve both time and financial freedom and help others to enjoy the same!
